The moisture will cause the copper or other types of materials used to tarnish over time. Also remove jewelry pieces before you apply any hand cream, lotions, perfume, or go to bed. The chemicals in these products can damage the jewelry and sleeping in them can cause them to snag or bend out of shape.
How to naturally remove tarnishing...
Rub a mixture of 1 tablespoon of table salt and 1 cup of white vinegar or lemon juice onto the jewelry with a soft cloth and rinse.
